The 25 of February marks the beginning of a new collaboration between Casamania and the London based design boutique ARIA.
The evocative ARIA showroom is housed in a 19th century former theatre, and will be the new point of reference for the casamania collection in the UK capital. The products on show: HIM+HER by Fabio Novembre; URBAN by Claudio Bellini; OPUS INCERTUM by Sean Yoo; KANT by Karim Rashid; NUANCE by Luca Nichetto and the playful TWINE TABLES by Wis Design.
A opening cocktail party will be held on Thursday 25th from 18.00 - 20.30 by invitation only.

As in previous years, this year from the 9th 13 february the Stockholm Furniture Fair and Northern Light Fair will be held at the fairgrounds of Alvsjo, Stockholm. A key event for the scandinavian market, the fair features more than 750 exhibitors with an expected visiting public of over 40.000 visitors including industry professionals, clients and journalists. Casamania is present at the Northern Light Fair on stand C01:51, in collaboration with Egma AB a leading swedish lighting brand.
Belgian designers Norayr Khachatryan & Kaspar Hamacher come together to show their unique designs, showcasing the use of solid wood, aluminium and leather. The exhibition, held at Brussel's CREATIVE SPACE wil also feature the table N-7, created by Khachatryan for Casamania and winner of the 2008 Good Design Award, from the Chicago Anatheneum. This unique table, created from hand soldered aluminium sheeting, is inspired by forms found in nature combined with the stylistic language of military engineering.

Wis Design, the emerging group of designers, known for their fresh and innovative creations, will be the subject of the exhibition Add Up!, on show in Stockholm at the Designgalleriet in Odengatan 21 from the 10 to the 28th of february.
Drawing inspiration from childhood games, the objects by Wis Design evoke a sense of nostalgia for the 1980's. Lisa Widén and Anna Irinarchos, the two members of the group, will present 2 projects developed together with Casamania- the sideboard 'Patch Cabinet' and the side table 'Twine Table'.

Every year "Now! Design à Vivre" pays tribute to a designer the designer of the year for 2010, Philippe Starck, together with a jury of experts including Chantal Hamaide (editorial director of Intramuros magazine) have selected 10 design talents, who represent the future of design. Among those selected Sam Baron, young French designer and creator of the Marie Antoinette Pop collection for casamania.
The award will be celebrated with a special exhibition curated by Intramuros magazine, on show at "Now! Design à Vivre", showcasing the 10 selected designers and examples of their work.
Sam Baron will also be presenting his products at Casamania’s stand in Pavillion 7 – stand D20
HB Consortium and Casamania will come together once more at the trade fair Sia Guest in Rimini, from the 21st to 24th of November 2009. HB Consortium has created a convivial lounge area, furnished using some of casamania's most iconic products. A space to welcome hoteliers who wish to be brought up to date on the various services and latest market trends in the world of hospitality.
Casamania furnishes the Ducati stand at Eicma, the international motorbike fair, to be held in milan from the 10th to the 15th of November 2009.
Following past experiences in the GP2, the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France, Casamania brings its dyamnic and innovtive image to the stand of the well known italian brand Ducati, with the Stereo chairs by Luca Nichetto, the Kant stools by Karim Rashid and pieces from the Bek collection, designed by Giulio Iacchetti.

The Triennale CreativeSet presents Magma Fossile. Massimiliano Adami.
An exhibition documenting the work of Adami, a hybrid of design, art and craft. The focus of the exhibition are the Modern Fossils: console tables, cupboards, lamps, glasses and vases which are born out of society's waste (old detergent containers, bottles, televisions and computers) immersed in a 'magma' of polyurethane. For the Triennale exhibition, Adami has shifted his direction, inserting pieces of 'design' into his works, using the iconic HER chair, designed by Fabio Novembre for Casamania.
Adami's Modern Fossils have been selected for inclusion in the Permanent Collection of the Museum of Design at the Triennale di Milano.
Wallpaper* the leading international design and lifestyle magazine has joined forces with La Rinascente, the historic department store in Milan's Piazza Duomo on an exciting new initiative The Wallpaper Warrant @ Design Supermarket. From November Wallpaper* will have a dedicated corner or shop-in-shop, with their picks of the best domestic design products. The editors have scoured this year's fairs for the best of new design and made a very special selection of items to be sold in the Design Supermarket. Casamania has been selected for inclusion with the Railo magazine rack/waste paper basket by Finnish designer mikko laakkonen. All products on show are for sale, and offer visitors a design fix in the heart of the world's design capital.
"100,000 Gardens of Sicily" - an initiative organized by the Italian Association of Landscape Architects will be held from the 23rd to 25th of October in Catania. The goal of the exhibition/conference is to highlight the potential of the garden - those small 'mosaic tiles' which make up what we call 'landscapes'; in particular their importance for the economy, tourism and well being. Organisers seek to give value to the garden and educate the public on its cultural, social and environmental attributes. The exhibition will take place over 3 days, featuring a seires of different events: a conference, an exhibition of sicilian gardens created by some of the industry's leading designers as well as guided tours and other promotional and educational activities open to all, both young and old. The large-scale vase +13 by Fabio Novembre for Casamania has been selected to furnish the area's beautiful gardens.
Following on from the success of the 2007 edition, Host - the International Salon for the Hospitality Industry is back from Friday 23rd to Tuesday 27 October. The trade fair is dedicated to the world of contract with particular focus on hotels, restaurants and spas. Host offers its visitors a chance to observe all aspects of the Hospitality industry, divided over 7 specialised sections. Casamania will be present, together with ED Contract, at the stand of HB Consortium.The products exhibited by Casamania represent perfectly the spirit of this brand from Treviso: a spirit characterised by constant research and innovation born from collaborations with some of the world's leading designers. A brand with a modern vision that is perfectly in line with the world of hospitality, a world where the objective is to create unique spaces where guests are welcomed, spaces which are aesthetically attractive but at the same time extremely functional.

Casamania together with HAUS + celebrates the opening of their new show room in Bassano. The official opening will be held on Saturday 10 October from 6pm to 11pm. Guests will have the chance to take a tour of the new retail space as well as the carefully selected pieces of the latest design.
Casamania is present with a wide selection of products, in particular pieces designed by young Venetian designer Luca Nichetto.
This year's 'Walk the Plank Award' has been awarded to designers Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. In occasion of the award, the Danish Museum of Art and Design in Copenhagen hosted a personal exhibition dedicated to the two designers. Open from the 29tjh of August until the 11th of October, the exhibition will then move on to the Trapholt Museum in from March to September 2010. The 'Walk the Plank Award' is conferred annually to designers who are identified as being in-line with the founding principles of the project: design characterised by a high level of craftsmanship coupled with a profound aesthetic sensibility. The exhibition features 3 installations featuring recent designs created by GamFratesi per Casamania, Swedese and Gubi. At the heart of the exhibition, an exclusive installation created in honour of the award - an outdoor installation featuring 50 of Casamania's Medusa side-tables in the museum's historic courtyard space.
Casamania is on show in South Korea at the new Triennale Incheon, the new home of the Triennale di Milano in Seoul. The building, designed by Atelier Mendini and Archiban recalls the historic Milanese home of the triennale both in its general design, and in use of decorative motives which recall Triennale di Milano's arched facade.
The main exhibition space is dedicated to the Triennale Design Museum and plays host to the exhibition 'The Seven Obsessions of Italian Design' - a exhibition created by Silvana Annicchiarico, the museum's director, Andrea Branzi, the scientific curator, Italo Rota the exhibition designer. Special contributions include films by Peter Greenaway, and involvement from Ermanno Olmi, Antonio Capuano, Pappi Corsicato, Davide Ferrario, Daniele Lucchetti, Mario Martore and Silvio Soldini.
This new cultural centre will host the HER chair by Fabio Novembre, previously on show at the Triennale Design Museum di Milano.
From 16-19 September, Casamania will take part in the event ‘Less than an hour to talk about…’
This is an innovative new format created by the Fondazione Sabrina & Alberto Del Biondi held at Milan’s Teatro del Design . The location will also play host to the exhibition SUSTAINABITALY, recently on show in New York.
Casamania’s involvement in the ELOGICO project (with its exhibition in New York this May) as well as their presence at this new initiative is clear evidence of the company’s desire to be at the forefront of the sustainability issue, and to be among the industry leaders in the discussion and development of design that is environmentally aware.

Cortina d'AmpezZo august 2009. The Grande Albero Old Floor, designed by DelineoDesign, will welcome children of all ages in piazza del Municipio. A unique 'playground/tree' over 3.5 meters high, and positioned on a specially designed wooden stage in the centre of the piazza. Here, every saturday during Augusta, children up to 12 years of age can listen to fairytales, take part in interactive workshops and play games. A cultural event, organised with the patronage of the Comune di Cortina d'Ampezzo in hommage to the well known designer, architect and pedagogue Bruno Munari - created to stimulate the creativity latent in every child. Each saturday The Tree will host a wide range of initiatives designed to stimulate the imagination, the senses and tactile skills. Casamania will be present with the name spirit of freedom and creativity, thanks to the chairs JOY e HIM&HER by Fabio Novembre.
In the spectacular location to Promenade du Port – Porto Cervo, the Sardinian shop window of the prestigious Spazio Rossana Orlandi will present a selection of Casamania products: the iconic Him and Her chairs by Fabio Novembre alongside the Bek table and chairs designed by Giulio Iacchetti for Casamania. Iacchetti work continues to receive numerous prizes and accolades and the designer was recently honoured with a solo show ‘Disobedient Objects’ presented last June at Milan’s Triennale Design Museum.

This summer the Sardinian resort of Porto Cervo will play host to a solo exhibition of the work of design Karim Rashid. The exhibition, on show in the new Vittoria Design showroom, will feature over 70 works by the designer. Casamania is represented with the sofa Kouch, the armchair Ouch, the Kant stool, the Korzina waste-paper bin and Zontik umbrella stand.

From June 24 until September 27 2009 the museum MUDAC in Lausanne, Switzerland will host NATURE IN A KIT - an exhibition focusing on the ability of modern creators to take inspiration from and re-interpret the natural world. The exhibition Nature in a Kit re-composes in its fashion a landscape of our time, a constructed environment which brings together the works of around a hundred creators from all over the world. Casamania is on show with the pieces Alberto by Fabrica and the XX coat rack by Josh Owen.
Casamania returns as technical sponsor of the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia during the 53rd annual edition of the International Art Exhibition with a range of products designed by leading international designers and emerging talents.The pieces will furnish the outdoor relaxation and dining areas of the Giardini della Biennale and the Arsenale for the duration of the exhibition. Casamania and the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia share an intense interest in contemporary global culture. A world in constant evolution, made up of new paradigms which multiply dimensions in time and space. The exhibition held in Venice is one of the world’s leading examples of this spirit – nature and civilisation conveying images and lifestyles which move freely between the worlds of fashion, sociology, art, design and architecture.
Elogico is a new initiative aimed at increasing awareness and encouraging research into a new, sustainable approach to design. A combination of exhibition and round-table discussions, Elogico was first launched in 2009 during Chicago's NeoCon, followed by a lecture series held in Venice held during the 11. Mostra Internazionale di Architettura. In 2009 Elogico shifts its focus towards New York during ICFF with an exhibition held at the prestigious Chelsea Art Museum. Casamania has been involved in ELOGICO since the first edition, and this year in New York designer Josh Owen was present at the round table discussion, representing not only Casamania, and as an internationally recognised proponent of forward-thinking, responsible design. Alongside his work as a designer, Owen lectures in Industrial design universities in the USA and Italy. Nerocubo a new 4 star hotel in Rovereto where design, art and architecture come together in perfect harmony. Artworks interact with the spaces of the hotel in the philosophy of the artistic project 'SLIDING ROOM'. The project experiments and finds new ways of blending art with other forms of research and business. The internal spaces of the hotel are notable for their careful design featuring many CASAMANIA products. These pieces form a back-drop for the collection of site-specific pieces created by 8 internationally acclaimed artists across the 8 floors of the hotel. In total the hotel is home to 118 artworks, distributed in the various public spaces as well as in the guest-rooms themselves. Nerocubo creates a unique atmosphere where interdispciplinary contamination and hybridisation are the key themes.
The interiors of the hotel were designed by ED CONTRACT, part of the FREZZA-DOIMO group of companies. ED Contract is specialised in the creation of projects for public spaces including hotels, airports, shopping centres, multifunctional public spaces, libraries, hostpitals, cinemas and theatres.
There are also products from Casamania among the petals of the ‘Fiore di Novembre’ an extraordinary exhibition of work by the notable Italian designer.“Il Fiore di Novembre” (The Flower of November) is the title of the spectacular exhibition created by Fabio Novembre and on show at the Triennale di Milano, showcasing Novembre’s work in a unique new setting, underlining new themes and offering new visions of his work. It is more than a simple exhibition of his works: each section of the exhibition draws the visitor into Fabio’s world: his creative processes, his obsessions, the design influences that drive his work. During the exhibition, the garden of the Triennale was also host to the installation of Vases/seats +13, another of Fabio Novembre’s designs for Casamania. Following the closure of the Milanese exhibition, Il Fiore di Novembre will take a break before commencing an international tour, with dates and locations to be defined.
The chairs Him + Her and the new children’s chair Joy are placed at the very centre of the exhibition alongside texts and images that recount their birth and the inspiration behind them.
'Super-Neobaroque journeys between art and design' an international design exhibition opens on the 17 may in Lecce. The exhibition, curated by Marco Petroni, features the Him and Her chairs by Fabio Novembre. "SUPER" offers a reflection on the concept of design, encompassing the fringes of contemporary art whislt uncovering connections, transitions and questions arising from the new social accord between art and the world, between nature and culture.
Pieces from the Casamania collection will be present at various Fuori Salone events during Milan Design Week.

We are honoured to report that the SOS stool, designed by Josh Owen, has been accepted into the permanent collection of the Musée National d'Art Moderne Centre Georges Pompidou. The committee of the prestigious museum voted unanimously for the inclusion of the SOS stool during their meeting held on 26 June 2008
